This site-specific installation, curated by Peter Blake, traverses the disciplines of art, design, and architecture, bringing historically significant modern design and museum-quality contemporary art into dialogue with Neutra’s geometric architectural sensibilities. Completed in 1961, this late Neutra embodies California modernist architecture with a signature indoor-outdoor design philosophy. Neutra’s skillful positioning of the home encourages breathtaking views spanning the majestic purple mountains of San Gabriel on one side to the skyline of downtown LA and the Pacific Ocean on the other.
